being in a lovely and “mature” relationship where you say each others names then make fart noises is hilarious

“You don’t need me anymore ” Roxanne assured him quietly. She was fighting the urge to run away from him but she didn’t want his anger or his bruises today.
“I’ll always need you. I don’t know why. I just always do” Bradley spoke in a honest tone, she wanted to believe him but he had a certain way with words; he always went in for the kill with her. He headed straight for the jugular with no remorse,
“Promise me you won’t ever let me down” He demanded quietly.
His eyes looked onto hers and she couldn’t fight it. She was always going to be his. His to exploit and destroy. She was resigned to her fate now.
“I promise I won’t ever let you down” she sighed and closed her eyes. She couldn’t see a way out anymore.
“Tell me you love me “he demanded in the same appealing tone as before, this was the first time he had demanded this. Roxanne opened her eyes to look at him, there was nothing malicious in his eyes this time. There was just knowing, he already knew she loved him. Bradley just wanted to hear her say it.
“Come on sugar, it’s time to admit it” He said in a tone that seemed final.
“I love you ” she said in a small voice before she looked away from him.
“Good. Because I love you too” he replied.
Roxanne peered at his face to check for some sign of a covert brooding calculation, she couldn’t see any evil glints in his eyes. She hadn’t expected it to come out of his mouth so easily, there had been so much struggle and conflict over his denial and now it seemed the war was won. It seemed almost too easy. They could finally lay their down weapons, it would no longer be a battlefield. Roxanne had expected to feel victorious, but it didn’t feel like victory. It felt like peace, like the sanctuary has returned. The roof was no longer caught in the wrath of a storm, the clouds were breaking and there seemed to be hope.
Bradley took Roxanne’s hands, he held them in his own and seemed deep in thought. He resisted the urge to clamp down on them until she begged him to stop, he just couldn’t belittle her anymore. There had been enough violence and he knew he had to atone for it. He couldn’t remember how many times he has thrown on the floor or at the wall, just because he could. He knew it had been too many. At first it had been almost too easy but when she had started to fight back,it was almost like sport.
“If I let you go now, let you run away and never contact you again. Would you take that chance?” Bradley asked solemnly.
Roxanne did ponder the thought, she had often wished for that chance, hoped for it wistfully. Before now, she would have taken it. Shea would have been happy to gain freedom from his rein of terror. But now, things were different. She had grown accustomed to him. It wasn’t quite a need, not quite a drug but it was still potent enough to tie her to him.
“I don’t think I could anymore” she replied. Bradley squeezed her hands, not of out malice, but out of sheer kindness. It was comfort in the purest form. Both of them seem unsure, this was new territory. They were unsure on how to communicate without weaponry.
Bradley leaned across to kiss her, it was soft but Roxanne still stiffened and prepared herself for pain. She was too acquainted with the viciousness of Bradley Chronwick. She had simply broken him now, he had admitted defeat. He looked hopelessly vulnerable now. She had no choice but to stay by his side now. She couldn’t break down his Armour and leave him defenseless. It would be a form of cruelty that could match his.
You sit there and make comments about how we had a “fucked up romance” and personal stuff and think it’s just a joke. No. It’s not okay. People could hear you, you jealous bastard.
